Frontal Lobe Dysfunction of Schizophrenic Patients on 1H MRS and Neuropsychological Tests

Abstract
|

|
This study was designed to test the so-called 'hypofrontality' hypothesis, one of the pathophysiologies of schizophrenia in terms of neurochemical and neuropsychological aspects.
@ES The results were as follows;
@EN 1. (GABA+Glu)/Cr ratio was significantly higher in schizophrenic patients than that in normal controls (P=0.0001) while NAA/Cr ratio was significantly lower than that in normal controls (P=0.005).
